What we believe The Bible is God's personal message to mankind
and final authority for faith and life. There is one God, as described in the Bible,
eternally existing in three persons. Jesus Christ, as God in human form, was conceived
of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. His sinless life allowed
him to satisfy the holiness of God by paying the penalty for sin as
man's substitute. He died, rose from the grave and will return to
earth as King. Man was created in the image of God but fell
into sin by choice and is therefore separated from God. Only through
God making man fit by giving him a new nature and wiping out the record
of sins may man be saved in heaven. Only through faith in the finished
work of Christ on the Cross alone does one become a child of God. The universal church is a living, spiritual
body whose head is Christ and whose members are all who have received
Christ as Savior and thus are born again spiritually. The local church is an organized company
of professing believers in Christ, dedicated to worshipping, fellowshipping
and working together. There are many local churches of different denominations,
but only one universal church of believers. |
